An old legend from the Pyrenees recounts that at the end of the summer, the people living in this region gather at the foot of the mountains to elect the Summer king and queen. Once elected, they must choose their vassals. This is the beginning of the "End of Summer Games", in which all those aspiring to the role of vassal compete. Few traces remain of these games, but oral tradition suggests that they involved discussions and drinking around large outdoor tables.”So it's to celebrate this old tradition that we invite you to join in the festivities on Thursday 7 September.
